Telemetry is a unique, computerised ordering system which ensures the majority of bulk tanks up to 4000 litres can be automatically topped up without you ever having to think about it.
It basically means your bulk tank has a mind of its own. A mind that accurately monitors how much gas you’ve got left in your tank and informs Calor as soon as you need a delivery.
It works like this. A contents gauge connected to a level transmitter on the top of your tank monitors the amount of gas in your tank and sends a signal to a special dialler unit plugged into your phone line. The dialler then regularly updates Calor’s central computer and, when a top-up is required, your local Calor LPG depot will despatch a tanker in plenty of time.
Calor’s telemetry system is fitted as standard on every new bulk tank installation. Calls are made at night and dial-up costs are absolutely free so there’s no need to worry about your phone bill. What’s more, Calor will give you your first 100 days tank standing charge absolutely free*.

*100 days free standing charge is applicable when telemetry is installed successfully. Telemetry equipment will be fitted to the tank and in the customer’s premises only if a radio signal can be transmitted from the tank level transmitter and a suitable telephone land line is available for the dialler unit.
